Natural gas prices have receded over the last month, and we can now provide a renewal price lower than SaskEnergy’s rate. This is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of these lower prices and lock in savings for another year!

Renewal Due March 8, 2024‍

Renew now to lock in a rate of $.1244/m3 ($3.15/GJ) for a one-year term starting November 1, 2024. This rate is lower than SaskEnergy’s current price of $.1264/m3 ($3.20/GJ).

Once you have made your selection and clicked the submit button, your price will be locked in.

Why is now a good time to lock in my renewal?

Industry publications attribute this near-term slide in natural gas prices to a second round of warmer-than-normal winter weather. While short-term prices may be down, natural gas futures remain strong, as shown in the graph below. Much of this has to do with the upcoming Kitimat LNG terminal coming online later this fall. This facility will export a significant portion of our domestic natural gas supply to Asia and other parts of the world.

*The final price for years 2 and 3 could be lower depending on market strength between now and when Connect Energy finalizes the supply arrangements. The Final price for years 2 and 3 is to be confirmed prior to August 15, 2024.
